Crystal Kanada

Senior Partner

Since 2011, Crystal has dedicated herself to education. She spends her time working with new and existing public safety agencies to bring financial services education to their teams through seminars and training sessions. She also meets with clients one-on-one to develop financial strategies that help reach their financial goals for protection and distribution.

Before joining New York Life Insurance Company, Crystal worked as a Market Growth and Development Consultant for Northern and Central CA at Wells Fargo’s Private Bank. She worked closely with high net-worth, affluent clients, to create complex wealth strategies.

In her free time, Crystal enjoys spending time with her children Roman and Mariah, and on the weekends is typically cheering them on at one of their year-round sporting events. She also loves to cook, work in her garden, and spend time with family and friends.

Lynzie Wolters, ChFC®, RICP®

Senior Partner

Since 2012, Lynzie has followed her passion and worked closely with public safety professionals for all their financial needs. She utilizes a holistic approach to help her clients accumulate, protect and distribute their assets in accordance with their risk tolerance and goals. She strives to create a lasting relationship with each of her clients.

Lynzie graduated with a degree in Communications from UCSB in 2006. She has since earned her Chartered Financial Consultant designation (ChFC®) as well as her Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation. The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation awarded by The American College of Financial Services qualifies her to provide comprehensive advanced financial strategies for individuals, professionals, and small business owners. According to the American College, "[a]ll ChFC® financial professionals are required to do the same for clients that they would do for themselves in similar circumstances, the standard of ethical behavior most beneficial for their clients." Holding an RICP® prepares you to help clients obtain a secure retirement. This designation equips financial professionals with the knowledge to effectively manage the transition from asset accumulation during a client’s working years to asset decumulation in retirement. RICP® enables the advisor to demonstrate tremendous value by delivering smart strategies for creating secure, sustainable income for a client's retirement.

She is married to the love of her life Tyler, and they together enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with their three dogs.

Ashley Nicole Ethridge

Financial Services Professional

Ashley began her career in financial services in 2014 immediately after graduating from Pepperdine University. While Ashley actively serves the Southern California division of Capital Edge Financial, her involvement and time spent daily with first responders has led her to become a passionate advocate for first responder mental health, always finding ways to help support and give back. She is proud to passionately help and serve those who protect and serve our communities every day.

Ashley also speaks Spanish and Armenian.

Gina Shoro

Director of Client Services & Administration

Gina Shoro joined Capital Edge Insurance & Financial Services in 2014. She is in charge of client services and administration; including managing scheduling, underwriting, and service processes. Gina is the primary point of contact for Capital Edge clients regarding all administrative and operational needs. She joined the team with a background in Human Resources and Benefits Administration with the State of California. Gina and her husband reside in Lincoln with their three kids. She is very actively involved in youth sports within the community including football, baseball, soccer, and wrestling.

Staci Dunkinson

New Accounts Manager

Staci joined our team in October of 2017. She has over 25 years of office administration experience in various areas including insurance. She provides administrative support for all new business and well as facilitates rollover/transfer requests. Prior to joining Capital Edge Financial, she worked in IT as an ISTQB certified tester for Vision Service Plan for 13 years.

Staci and her husband have been married for 20 years and currently reside in Lincoln with their three sons, Chase, Max and Rusty. Her spare time is spent supporting their passion for youth sports. She also loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Administrative Assistant

Tori is currently in her senior year of undergrad at California Baptist University double-majoring in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology. While Tori prepares for graduation this fall, she serves as the initial point of contact for Capital Edge Financial in the Southern California Division. Coming from a military and law enforcement family, Tori is passionate and eager to give back to these communities.

In addition to being a full-time student and serving Capital Edge clients, Tori also volunteers her time by administratively assisting a Southern California police psychologist to help give back to public safety.

Our Designations

Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®)

Lynzie Wolters' first designation, ChFC®, has been a mark of excellence for almost thirty years and currently requires nine college-level courses, the most of any financial planning credential. Average study time to earn the ChFC®exceeds 450 hours. Required courses cover extensive education and application training in financial planning, income taxation, investments, and estate and retirement planning. Additional electives are chosen from such topics as macroeconomics, financial decisions for retirement, and executive compensation. ChFC® designees must meet experience requirements and adhere to continuing education and ethical standards. The credential is awarded by The American College, a non-profit educator founded in 1927 and the highest level of academic accreditation.

Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®)

Lynzie Wolter's second designation, RICP®, provides instruction on building integrated and retirement income stratgeies. A key focus is understanding, choosing, and executing a strategy for generating sustainable income from available resources—whether that means using systematic withdrawals from a portfolio, building an income floor with bonds or annuities, or using a bucket strategy.

The program, developed by more than 45 of the nation’s top retirement stratgegy experts, provides students with best practices in areas including:

- Social Security claiming
- Evaluating and addressing risks faced in retirement
- Choosing distributions from employer sponsored strategies
- Medicare and other health insurance choices
- Long term care insurance
- Choosing appropriate housing
- Income tax and legacy strategies
